The door has an operating element on its inner side for operating functions of the motor vehicle. The operating element is formed as a touch-sensitive screen at the inner side of the motor vehicle door. The touch-sensitive screen has an operating surface (12,16) of redetermined size, on which a function field is displayed. The touch-sensitive screen has an information display-section and a haptic element, which limits the operating surface. The function field is assigned to a user-defined or a predefined operating function.
