A condenser with a multiple type gas-liquid separator is provided to form a gas-liquid separator in a multi-stepped structure for using most of the condenser parts as supercooling areas in the case of a low load and keeping the supercooling areas in the case of a high load, thereby increasing cooling efficiency. A condenser includes a multiple type gas-liquid separator(100) mounted at a side of a pair of parallel header tanks(210) for separating liquid and gas refrigerant from each other. The gas-liquid separator is divided into first and second separator parts(110,120). The first separator part is connected to an inlet(211) of the header tanks via a refrigerant path serving as a first heat exchange area(A1) and connected to an outlet(212) of the header tanks and an inlet of the second separator part by a refrigerant path serving as a second heat exchange area(A2). An outlet of the second separator part is connected to the outlet of the header tanks by a refrigerant path serving as a third heat exchange area(A3). Baffles(213) define a plurality of spaces in the header tanks. |
