PURPOSE: A signal processing method in a portable friend or foe identification unit is provided to identify friend or foe of a corresponding target. CONSTITUTION: A control unit stores friend or foe identification operation information through communication with a pre-determined external device (S510). The control unit delivers the friend or foe identification operation information according to command trigger of a predetermined weapon system (S520). A signal processing unit generates a droop control signal using the delivered friend or foe identification operation information and then transmits the droop control signal to a corresponding target (S530). The signal processing unit identifies friend or foe of the corresponding target using a response signal of a summation channel and a difference channel received from the corresponding target (S540).
