PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous pharmaceutical formulation containing high-unit insulin glargine having equivalent value to 100 U formulation of insulin glargine in exposure and activity, and a method for treating type I and type II diabetes in patients using the formulation.SOLUTION: An aqueous pharmaceutical formulation includes 200-1,000 U/mL [equimolar to 200-1,000 IU human insulin] insulin glargine, provided that the concentration of the insulin glargine in the formulation is not 684 U/mL. The use of the formulation is also provided. |
