The invention relates to a mounting for instruments on buildings which can be easily adapted to sloping and flat roofs and can also be permanently attached to outer walls, the aim of which is to support and securely hold various scientific and/or technological devices for the measurement of thermodynamic and meteorological parameters, among others. The mounting includes a base (3), a number of legs (2) that are connected by one end to the base (3) and are movable along same in order to adapt to the shape of the building, at least one mast (4) that is connected by one of the ends thereof to the base (3), and attachment arms (5) that are connected to the mast (4) in order to hold the instruments. In addition, the mounting includes counterweights (1) for increasing the stability thereof, located on the free ends of the legs (2) and movable along same. The present invention also relates to the method for installing said mounting.
