PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily add an addition function for a printer driver on a host to a client.SOLUTION: A file group constituting a plug-in to be added to a printer driver body is collectively stored in one file for plug-in storage. Unless the plug-in is added, the file for plug-in storage is kept in an empty state. A file constituting the printer driver body and the file for plug-in storage are written, as a configuration file of a printer driver, in a file list of a driver information file. When the printer driver is copied to a client, the file constituting the printer driver body and the file for plug-in storage are transferred according to the description of the file list. Since the description of the file list is unchanged whether the plug-in is added or not, the plug-in can be transferred to the client during installation in the same way as when only the printer driver body is used. |
