PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent transition of an information processing apparatus to a state not intended by a user at a restart of the information processing apparatus of which the user is not notified.SOLUTION: CPU 101 of an image forming apparatus 1 changes a starting operation so as to specially start the image forming apparatus 1 when an input of a special start request from an input detection part is detected on the occasion of starting (S304, S306), and it changes the starting operation so as to perform nonnotification starting which starts the image forming apparatus 1 while limiting output by an output notification part, when a nonnotification start flag is effective on the occasion of starting (S301, S302, S307). Furthermore, the CPU 101 of the image forming apparatus 1 performs control, on the occasion of the nonnotification start, so that notification by the output notification part to the outside and also processing for making the input detection part usable may not be conducted until transition to a power saving state is made possible after starting. |
