PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which is capable of removing both radioactive iodine and radioactive cesium, solves problems of the conventional arts, is simple and inexpensive, needs no source of energy such as electric power, and can reduce the volume of radioactive waste if necessary.SOLUTION: In a method for removing both radioactive iodine and radioactive cesium in radioactive waste liquid and/or radio active solid matter by using a hydrophilic resin composition containing a hydrophilic resin composition and zeolite, the hydrophilic resin composition contains at least one hydrophilic resin selected from among a group including a hydrophilic polyurethane resin, a hydrophilic polyurea resin, and a hydrophilic polyurethane-polyurea resin, each having a hydrophilic segment and containing in their main chain and/or side chain in chemical structure a tertiary amino group. In the composition, at least 1 to 200 pts.mass of zeolite is dispersed in 100 pts.mass of the hydrophilic resin. |
