PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce gear shift shock when a mode is changed in a transmission including an input shaft, an output member, a toroidal type continuously variable mechanism, and a differential mechanism.SOLUTION: A transmission including a memory means that stores a relation between a torque that passes through a low-speed clutch, a high-speed clutch, a controller, a torque detection means, and a toroidal type continuously variable mechanism and gear ratio deviation; and a gear ratio deviation calculation means. The controller selects a low speed mode or a high speed mode by a clutch at a preset switch point. The switch point is set on the high-speed side by the deviation with respect to the maximum torque of a driving source rather than the transmission gear ratio on the lowest speed side of the toroidal type continuously variable mechanism. When a mode is changed from one mode to the other mode, a target transmission gear ratio of the toroidal type continuously variable mechanism is corrected to the low speed side by the deviation, in one mode. |
