PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tires, improved in abrasion resistance level that is higher than the conventional level, while maintaining and improving processability on blending silica.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for tires is produced by blending 10 to 100 pts.wt. silica and 1 to 15 pts.wt. silane coupling agent with 100 pts.wt. diene-based rubber, wherein the silane coupling agent is a polysulfide silane expressed by formula (1) [wherein, (m) is an integer of 1-5; (n) is an integer of 1-3; and (x) is an integer of ≥1 and has a distribution], the peak area ratio of disulfide silane of x=2 is 10 to 20%, and the peak area ratio of trisulfide silane of x=3 is 30 to 40%, as measured by high performance liquid chromatography, and also the mean sulfur chain length is ≥3.5. |
