The alloy contains 1.0-5.0 mass% Si, 0.1-2.0 mass% Fe, and 0.1-2.0 mass% Mn and the remainder is obtained from Al and unavoidable impurities. 250 pieces/mm2 - 7 × 104 pieces of Si intermetallic compounds having an equivalent circle radius of 0.5-5 µm are present in a cross-section of the aluminum alloy. 10 pieces/mm2 - 1000 pieces of Al-Fe-Mn-Si intermetallic compounds having an equivalent circle radius exceeding 5 µm are present in a cross-section of the aluminum alloy. The alloy can also contain Mg, Cu, Zn, In, Sn, Ti, V, Zr, Cr, Ni, Be, Sr, Bi, Na or Ca as needed. |
