The battery device has several rechargeable batteries that are connected with a converter and a connection unit. A control unit is connected with the converter and connection unit for controlling transfer of energy between the batteries. An additional power input is used for charging the batteries. The converter and connection unit are realized as inductively operating switching converter that is controlled in two directions at both high-voltage and low-voltage. An independent claim is included for a supply method for mobile system.
