PURPOSE: A system and a method for a TV telephone based on mobile communication are provided to combine a SIM card with a TV terminal device, thereby performing video or voice calls based on mobile communication through the TV terminal device. CONSTITUTION: A TV terminal device(200) is connected to a mobile communication system after receiving terminal authentication from a mobile communication system by combination with an SIM(Subscriber ID Module) card(100). A remote controller(300) performs video and voice calls based on the mobile communication system through local area wireless communication with the TV terminal device. The TV terminal device transfers the image and voice of a call person to the mobile communication system to transfer them to a call partner and receives voice and video of the call partner to output an image of the call partner to a TV terminal screen. |
