PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for providing a child location search service are provided to improve the precision of positioning a child by using access points with a small service range, which are installed in places. CONSTITUTION: A method for providing a child location search service comprises the steps of: receiving information of peripheral access points from a child terminal(S701), selecting n access points based on the information of the peripheral access points(S703), selecting k access points with higher signal intensity except for the access point with the facility coordinates(S705), extracting the position coordinates of selected R access points from the access point information, where R=(k+n)(S707), and calculating the final position coordinates using the centroid method(S709). |
