PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric power consumption of a low-pressure fuel pump and to suppress vapor while avoiding locking or a decrease in efficiency of the low-pressure fuel pump, in a fuel injection control system for an internal combustion engine including the electric low-pressure fuel pump for pumping fuel from a fuel tank and a high-pressure fuel pump for boosting the pressure of the fuel discharged from the low-pressure fuel pump.SOLUTION: In a fuel injection control system for an internal combustion engine including an electric low-pressure fuel pump for pumping fuel from a fuel tank, a high-pressure fuel pump for boosting the pressure of the fuel discharged from the low-pressure fuel pump, and a decrease processing means for decreasing a discharge pressure of the low-pressure fuel pump, energization of a reference voltage to the low-pressure fuel pump is started when a discharged failure of the high-pressure fuel pump due to vapor of the fuel is generated, and the energization to the low-pressure fuel pump is stopped when a predetermined time period passes from the energization start of the reference voltage. |
