PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control overcurrent of a motor, while having an informing sound generated from a motor, in a vehicle with an AC motor controlled by PWM control.SOLUTION: A control device 30 includes a PWM control unit 200 that executes PWM control over an AC motor mounted on a vehicle. The PWM control unit 200 includes an alarm sound generation processing unit 241 for processing generation of a sound (hereinafter called alarm sound) (hereinafter called as alarm sound generating processing) from the motor M1 for informing a pedestrian, or the like, of the approach of the vehicle 1 by intentionally varying a phase current flowing through the motor M1 by periodically adding a variation value &Dgr;V to a d-axis voltage command value Vd at predetermined intervals. When executing the alarm sound generating processing, the alarm sound generation processing unit 241 adjusts the variation value &Dgr;V such that the d-axis voltage command value Vda resulting from the alarm sound generating processing (sum of the d-axis voltage command value Vd and the variation value &Dgr;V) falls within a range in which occurrence of an overcurrent in the motor M1 can be suppressed. |
