PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device in which a development roller, supply roller and a regulation blade are respectively provided with an ammeter and which properly performs process control on the basis of measurement results, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the same.SOLUTION: A developing device 1 comprises a developing roller 2, toner layer regulation blade 4 and a supply roller 3. The developing device 1 applies a bias voltage to the developing roller 2 and develops an electrostatic latent image by toner. It comprises a first current measuring part 5 which measures the value of a current flowing in the developing roller 2 and a second current measuring part 6 which measures the value of current flowing in the supply roller 3, and performs process control on the basis of: a first current value measured by the second current measuring part 6 when the bias voltage is applied to the developing roller 2 and the supply roller 3 when development is not carried out; and a second current value measured by the first current measuring part 5 and the second current measuring part 6 when development is carried out. |
