PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device suitable for downsizing and thinning with in-plane uniformity of luminous intensity and high color rendition, as well as an electronic equipment loading such a lighting device.SOLUTION: A lighting device has a flat light guide plate 12, light sources 14 fitted to a side face of the light guide plate 12 for letting in light into the light guide plate 12 from the side face, and a lens sheet 16 arranged on one of the surfaces of the light guide plate 12. The light guide plate 12 has prisms 18 on one of the surfaces for reflecting light emitted from the light sources 14 and propagated inside the light guide plate 12 at an angle larger than a total reflection critical angle against the surface. The lens sheet 16 once converges the light reflected by the prisms 18 and emitted from the light guide plate 12 and then diffuses it. |
