PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press contact type connector which has high strength against external force acting in a direction different from a slide direction acting on a movable contact, and facilitates processing of the movable contact.SOLUTION: In a press contact type connector 1 including an insulation housing 2 having a contact housing part 11, a movable contact 3 housed inside the contact housing part 11 slidably in front and back directions, and an extrusion spring 22 housed inside the contact housing part 11 for energizing the movable contact 3 in a direction of projecting from a front end face, the movable contact 3 includes a pair of parallel piece parts 16 and 17 facing each other and a contact piece part 18 connecting front edges of both parallel piece parts 16 and 17 by punching and folding a conductive metal plate material, and integrally has a reinforcing piece part 20 arranged between both parallel piece parts 16 and 17, and the reinforcing piece part 20 is formed in a direction between both parallel piece parts 16 and 17 so as to support inner side faces of the parallel piece parts 16 and 17 by side edges. |
