A locking unit (38) has locking element (34) arranged on a gripping jaw carrier (2) and moved between locked and unlocked positions for causing operating movement (45). A release link (52) is moved between non-actuated position and release position in which locking element is unlocked. An operating element is connected with release link for causing operating movement (53). The operating movements are acted as pivoting movement under elastic bending of spring arms (42,47), and the return forces of spring arms are eliminated by operating element during unlocking of locking element.
