METHOD FOR INDUCING/ACTIVATING CARDIAC STEM/PROGENITOR CELL USING SPECIFIC FACTOR

The present invention addresses the problem of discovering a regulation factor which can regulate all of cardiac progenitor cells and cardiac stem cells and can direct the differentiation/induction of a cardiac progenitor cell from an embryonic stem cell. The present invention also addresses the problem of developing a method which can provide a cardiac progenitor cell or a cardiac stem cell with high efficiency using the regulation factor. The present inventors have made the studies on screening of candidate factors which are expressed characteristically in a cardiac cell. From the results of the search obtained on the basis of the co-expression with a marker characteristic of a cardiac muscle cell or the like, 15 candidate factors are picked up finally and it is found that factors belonging to specific 3 families among the 15 candidate factors are factors common to the differentiation/induction into a cardiac progenitor cell or a cardiac stem cell.
