PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device capable of suppressing deterioration of a catalyst while suppressing lowering of fuel economy.SOLUTION: A driving support device issues an alarm to a driver on the basis of a degree of deterioration of an exhaust gas purification catalyst arranged in an exhaust gas passage of an internal combustion engine. The device calculates an instantaneous deterioration amount of the exhaust gas purification catalyst from a temperature of the exhaust gas purification catalyst and an exhaust flow rate in the exhaust gas passage, and when the instantaneous deterioration amount is not smaller than a prescribed value, notifies the driver of a drive state, and issues the alarm. |
