PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner that can suppress power consumption and noise of a motor for driving a crossflow fan, and improved in strength of an air shielding member.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes a casing 1 formed with a suction port 11 for sucking indoor air, and a blowoff port 12 for blowing off conditioned air; a crossflow fan 2 sucking indoor air and blowing off conditioned air; a front side upper heat exchanger 3 and a front side lower heat exchanger 4 which are provided on the front side in the casing 1 to condition sucked indoor air to thereby produce conditioned air; a support structure 15 provided on a side face in the casing 1 to support a back face side heat exchanger 5 from at least one side when the back face side heat exchanger 5 is provided on the back face side in the casing 1; and an air shielding member 20 provided in place of the back face side heat exchanger 5 and supported to the support structure 15. A recess 21, which is a surface facing the crossflow fan 2, of the air shielding member 20 is formed in recessed shape with respect to the crossflow fan 2. |
