Provided is a technology capable of reliably detecting a liquid level held in a container via only an analog process even when the liquid level is low due to boiling. A liquid level detection device comprises: a probe selection unit (31) for selecting from among a plurality of probes the probe that energizes a heater; an input unit for inputting the output of the temperature sensor of the probe selected by the probe selection unit (31) as is, as an analog temperature signal VA(k); a signal processing unit (34) for outputting a process signal VB(k) for the temperature signal VA(k) synchronously with the energizing of the heater; a computation unit (35) for outputting a result by calculating the temperature signal VA(k) and the process signal VB(k); a gas-liquid determination unit (37) for determining in which state of gas or liquid a detection point exists on the basis of the output result of the calculation; and a display unit (38) for displaying the determination result from the gas-liquid determination unit (37).
