<p>A motor torque (Tmg) in an inertia phase (from time (t11) to time (t13)) during a power-on downshifting speed change, for example, is limited to a set value (Tmg-lim) that is set to or below a motor maximum torque (Tmg-max) after the speed change, and the engaged state of a releasing-side friction element is controlled so that an inertia torque calculated from a target input rotational speed is generated in an input-based member. During the speed change, the motor torque (Tmg) is prevented from fluctuating due to the fluctuation in the motor maximum torque (Tmg-max) that accompanies the change in rotation.
