摘要 PURPOSE: A fog image correction method per unit block is provided to exactly remove fog even in an input image of not uniformly distributed fog, by measuring fog intensity in each unit block. CONSTITUTION: A fog image correction apparatus produces a pixel value histogram for each mxn block which comprises an input image(S500). The apparatus calculates the distance between a reference pixel value of the pixel value histogram and a reference coordinate value. The apparatus determines the fog depth of the mxn block from the calculated distance. The apparatus calculates the fog intensity of the mxn block(S600). Considering the calculated fog intensity, the apparatus removes fog from the input image(S700).
