PURPOSE: An automatic welding system and a method are provided to perform a welding automation at a position difficult to access by moving a welding robot and to minimize manual welding processes. CONSTITUTION: An automatic welding system comprises a welding robot(200), a welding robot transport unit, and a control device. The transport unit transfers the location of the welding robot. When the welding robot approaches a weld line from the starting position of a welding line the control device makes the welding robot approach the welding line, if the collision possibility of a weld member(20) and a welding robot exists. The control device controls the transport unit and transfers the welding robot to the welding starting position. |
