PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition and an image forming material, which are excellent in dispersibility of a near-infrared absorptive material having a maximum absorption wavelength in a band of 900 nm, and to provide an image forming method using the image forming material.SOLUTION: A resin composition and an image forming material each include a peryllium-based squarylium compound represented by formula (I).
