PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a difference apparent to the eyes caused by a difference in granularity between a preview image on display and a printed image on paper.SOLUTION: In an image processing device, color conversion from first device dependent colors (CMYK values) which are the device dependent colors of an area gradation device (printer) to second device dependent colors (RGB values) which are the device dependent colors of a density gradation device (display) is executed. For at least part of the first device dependent colors (CMYK values), the area rate of a lowest brightness element color (K) which is an element color whose brightness is lowest when output at an area rate of 100% among the element colors (C, M, Y, K) constituting the first device dependent colors (CMYK values) is increased, whereby the first device dependent colors are corrected (S102). By using device profiles of both the area gradation device (printer) and the density gradation device (display), the corrected first device dependent colors (CMYK values) are converted to the second device dependent colors (RGB values). |
