摘要 <p>The method involves generating multiple electric arc type conditions at a point in the installation system. A temporal current profile (1) is added to each generated electric condition in a subsequent manner. The current flow interruptions time intervals are determined from the current profile. The frequency distribution of the current flow interruptions time intervals is determined over a predetermined time range. An adaption coefficient is determined from the frequency distribution of the current flow interruptions time intervals and is added to a criterion for electric arc detection. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for protecting an electrical installation system against electrical effects caused by electric arc; and (2) an electric arc circuit breaker for adaption of an electric arc sensor in an electric installation system and for protecting an electrical installation system against electrical effects caused by electric arc.</p>
