The method involves determining a first checksum for a portion of the image data set and storing the first checksum in the image data set, before the storage of the image data set in a computing device. A second checksum for the image data set is determined after the storage of the image data set. The first checksum stored in the image data set is compared with the second checksum. An error message is generated, when the first checksum is not matched with the second checksum.
