PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arthralgia alleviating composition having ginger as a raw material, and a functional food.SOLUTION: An arthralgia alleviating composition containing heated and fermented ginger obtained by heating raw material fermented ginger is provided. The arthralgia alleviating composition is recognized to have an excellent alleviating action to arthralgia. A functional food containing the arthralgia alleviating composition is safe, excellent in taste, and easily orally ingested on a daily basis.
