PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire electrical discharge machine capable of performing step-machining by setting only a position located at this side of a step during a setup operation before machining without setting an inclination finishing position of a wire electrode after passing the step.SOLUTION: A machining program is read, an inclination starting position of a wire electrode and a wire electrode inclination angle value are set (SA01-SA03), the machining program is performed to determine whether or not the wire electrode is in the inclination starting position, and in the case of the inclination starting position, it is determined whether or not wire electrode inclination control is performed, and when the wire electrode inclination control is not performed, the wire electrode inclination control is performed, and when the wire electrode inclination control is performed, it is determined whether or not the wire electrode has passed a position of a step, and when the wire electrode have passed the position of the step, wire electrode inclination finishing control is performed (SA04-SA09) to finish processing (SA10) by the finishing of machining. |
