The sensor (1) has an electrode (21) i.e. interdigital electrode, located on an ions conductive layer. A coarse-porous interlayer is arranged between the electrode and a fine-porous diffusion layer (30). The diffusion layer and the interlayer comprise first pores (31) and second pores, respectively. The first and second pores comprise different pore sizes, where the pore size of the second pores is greater than the pore size of the first pores. The diffusion layer is formed for diffusing oxygen molecules, which are freely movable in the interlayer.
