PURPOSE: A multi level inverter control system is provided to shorten communications cycle between a master controller and a cell controller. CONSTITUTION: A master controller (210) outputs a voltage instruction value of a cell inverter by each phase. Each of cell controller groups comprises one or more slave cell controllers and a master cell controller. Each phase of the one or more slave cell controllers senses direct current (DC) link voltage of the cell inverter. Each phase of the one or more slave cell controllers transmits at least one between the sensed DC link voltage and state information of the cell inverter to the master cell control through a controller area network (CAN) communications.
