PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain accurate digital data while adopting a successive comparison method when performing analog/digital (A/D) conversion processing on a plurality of stages.SOLUTION: An A/D converter is provided which comprises a ramp waveform signal generation section 14 which generates a ramp voltage on the basis of a count signal from a counter 15, a signal conversion section 13 and a control section 18. The signal conversion section 13 includes a sample/hold circuit which holds an inputted signal voltage, a successive comparison capacitor group 16 which outputs a plurality of bias voltages in accordance with a connection combination of a predetermined number of capacitors having different capacitance values, and a comparison part 17 which compares one of the ramp voltage and the bias voltage with the signal voltage. The control section 18 generates a digital signal of the signal voltage on the basis of a result of comparing the bias voltage with the signal voltage through the comparison part 17 and a result of comparing the ramp voltage with the signal voltage through the comparison part 17 and acquires data for calibration of the successive comparison capacitor group 16 on the basis of the connection combination of capacitors and the ramp voltage. |
