PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing the variation in the charge amount of a developer in a developing device when a developer is supplied from the exchanged developer supply unit to the developing device.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises: a toner density sensor 37; and a control part 160. The control part 160 determines a developer near end when the residual amount of a developer is in a range from a first predetermined amount to a second predetermined amount and determines a developer end when the residual amount of the developer is the second predetermined amount or less. In addition, if the control part 160 determines the developer end after a predetermined number of printings are performed in a developer near end state, the control part 160 supplies toner from a toner container 120 to a developing device 14 via a first supply port 42, and if the control part 160 determines the developer end after more than the predetermined number of printings are performed, the control part 160 supplies toner from the toner container 120 to the developing device 14 via a second supply port 43. |
