PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify an amount of ink that causes detection results of a sensor to become unstable.SOLUTION: A printing apparatus includes a head for ejecting ink, a sensor and a controller. The controller includes: forming a gradation pattern to vary an amount of ink for each unit area from a first ink amount to a second ink amount; moving the sensor along a belt-like gradation pattern; making the sensor detect a density of the gradation pattern; making the sensor acquire a correspondence between a position of the sensor and the density; and specifying a third ink amount being the third ink amount more than the first ink amount and less than the second ink amount, and unstabilizing detection results of the sensor on the basis of the correspondence. |
