PURPOSE: A processing time prediction system and a processing time prediction method are provided to effectively operate a scheduling and an automation device by automatically determining a processing method according to the shape of a member. CONSTITUTION: A design database(110) stores the purpose shape data and initial shape data of a member. A curvature calculation unit(120) calculates a curvature difference between the purpose shape data and the initial shape data. A processing method determination unit(130) determines the processing method of the member according to the curvature difference. A processing information database(140) stores processing information according to the processing method of the member. A processing time calculation unit(150) calculates member processing time by extracting the processing information from the processing information database. The processing method determination unit determines the processing method according to the curvature difference.
