PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive fabric which includes conductive yarns and non-conductive yarns, and which, when a conductive connection member is connected to part of the conductive yarns to be supplied with electric current, can insulate the ends of the conductive yarns not to be supplied with electric current from an external member, such as the connection member, and from the conductive yarns to be supplied with electric current without using a separate insulating member; and to provide a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: In a conductive fabric which includes conductive yarns and non-conductive yarns, and in which part of the plural conductive yarns are set as non-use conductive yarns not to be supplied with electric current, the end of each non-use conductive yarn is covered with an insulating member composed of a material formed from the non-conductive yarns forming the conductive fabric. In particular, the end of each non-use conductive yarn is preferably covered with a constituent material of the non-conductive yarns which have been melted and resolidified. Such a covering can be formed in continuation with a step of exposing the end of each conductive yarn to be supplied with electric current by laser irradiation. |
