PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a generation rate of particulate matter in a hybrid vehicle performing intermittent operation of repeating a stop and a restart.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle includes an internal combustion engine 20 having an in-cylinder injection valve 23, an electric motor (second power-generating electric motor MG2), power transmitting mechanisms (30, 50) connecting a drive shaft 53 of a vehicle with the engine so that torque can be transmitted and connecting the drive shaft with the electric motor MG2 so that torque can be transmitted, and control devices (70 and 73), controls output torque of the engine and output torque of the electric motor to thus effect torque to the drive shaft, stops operation of the engine when an engine operation stop condition is established, restarts the engine when an engine restart condition is established, and operates the engine in a mode for reducing a generation rate of particulate matter based on an operation stop time cooling water temperature and a restart time cooling water temperature. |
