PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery with a negative electrode with an improved performance compared to a conventional one.SOLUTION: In a lithium secondary battery, an electrode body having a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and an electrolyte are housed in a predetermined battery case. Here, the negative electrode is provided with a negative electrode mixture layer 24 including a negative electrode collector 22 and a negative electrode active material formed on the collector. When the negative electrode mixture layer is divided into two in a thickness direction, an oil absorption amount (Fc) per unit weight of the negative electrode active material included in a region 26 relatively near the collector is different from an oil absorption amount (Fs) per unit weight of the negative electrode active material included in a region 28 relatively near a surface, and the amounts Fc and Fs satisfy a relation of Fc>Fs. |
