PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording ink capable of obtaining high image density and excellent in jetting stability and preservation stability; and to provide an ink cartridge and image forming apparatus using the ink.SOLUTION: An inkjet recording ink comprises: a pigment dispersion (A) containing a carbon black, a dispersant, and water; and a pigment dispersion (B) containing a carbon black and water. The dispersant is a block type copolymer having a structural unit of a diene monomer and an aromatic vinyl monomer, wherein the block type copolymer has a sulfonic acid group or salt thereof. The carbon black contained in the pigment dispersion (B) has 2.0 to 5.0 μmol/mof a carboxyl group on a surface thereof. |
