PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which improves designability by allowing a portion of a decorative plate with an engaging piece present thereon and another portion thereof with an engaging piece not present thereon to have similar colors to make it hard to distinguish between both the portions when the decorative plate is fixed on a front panel using the plurality of engaging pieces.SOLUTION: An air conditioner attaches a front panel 4 consisting of a front face portion 4a, a step portion 4b extended to right and left ends below the front face portion 4a, and an inclined face portion 4c continuously formed in the step portion 4b, and a decorative plate 5 attached to the step portion 4b and made of a transparent material, wherein the front panel 4 is equipped with a retention groove 7 extended to right and left while opening a lower part thereof in the step portion 4b and an insertion hole formed at a bottom portion of the retention groove 7, an engaging claw with which the decorative plate 5 is engaged is arranged at an upper part of an insertion hole on a rear side, and the decorative plate 5 is equipped with a decorative face 5a in close contact with the inclined face portion 4c, a retention rib 11 extended to right and left so as to engage with the retention groove 7 for retention, a folded portion 5b coming into contact with the step portion 4b in an intersecting point of the retention rib 11 and a decorative face 5a, and a plurality of engaging pieces in which a part of the retention rib 11 extends upward to correspond to the insertion hole. |
