PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve throughput by determining a communication method in which interference of radio communications between a plurality of communication cells formed with a plurality of radio base stations and a plurality of radio terminal stations is avoided and considered.SOLUTION: A radio communication system includes: a plurality of radio base stations each of which forms a communication cell; and a radio terminal station belonging to one of the communication cells of the radio base stations and performing radio communication with the radio base station forming the communication cell to which the radio terminal station belongs. In the radio communication system, the radio base station measures a signal intensity of a radio signal sent and received between the radio terminal station and the radio base station for each of a plurality of reception weights defined so that the radio base station detects the radio signal sent and received between the radio terminal station and the radio base station, for each of a plurality of predetermined frequency bands, determines a frequency band with a signal intensity equal to or less than a certain level among the frequency bands, on the basis of the measurement result having been measured, and sends and receives the radio signal using the determined frequency band.
