PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase convenience by allowing an image to be displayed naturally on a display during rotation of an image pickup element.SOLUTION: An image pickup device comprises: an image pickup element which is rotatable about an optical axis or an axis parallel to the optical axis inside an outer housing and converts an optical image of a subject into an electric signal; a rotation operation part which rotates the image pickup element upon a rotation operation; and a display to display the image converted by the image pickup element into the electric signal. When the rotation operation part is subjected to the rotation operation, the image pickup element rotates in the direction opposite to the rotation direction of the rotation operation part. Thereby, the image is displayed naturally on a display during rotation of the image pickup element, and thereby the convenience is increased. |
