PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast iron component selectively remaining part of a non-decarburized part to configure a solid part and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A method includes the hollow part forming step of forming a hollow part by using a surface layer part 22 whose melting point is raised by decarburizing treatment as a shell, and melting and flowing out a non-decarburized part 24 situated within the surface layer part 22 and having a melting point lower than that of the surface layer part 22. The non-decarburized part 24 has a region 26 to be left and a region 25 to be molten and to flow out. In the hollow part forming step, the region 25 to be molten and to flow out is selectively heated up to a temperature exceeding the melting point of the non-decarburized part 24.
