PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine that can favorably suppress an occurrence of heat damage due to a leak of cooling wind while cooling an exhaust system structure.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine includes a first insulator 50 provided to cover an exhaust air manifold 10 constituting a part of an exhaust passage and a turbine housing 20, insulating heat from the exhaust manifold 10 and the turbine housing 20, and having a two-part split shape. The first insulator 50 has: a first introduction pipe 54 connected with an insulator body 52 and for introducing cooling wind thereinside; and an exhaust part 56 covering a first exhaust pipe 32 positioned at an exhaust air downstream side of the turbine housing 20 in the exhaust passage, and a predetermined gap is formed with the first exhaust pipe 32 therebetween. The first introduction pipe 54 is directed to the exhaust part 56. |
