PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging device which can measure a distance with high accuracy and can suppress the degradation of sensitivity in imaging, and an imaging apparatus which is provided with the solid-state imaging device and can improve the image quality.SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging device includes a plurality of pixels. At least a part of the pixels each comprises pupil dividing means and a light receiving unit, each light receiving unit including a plurality of photoelectric conversion units. An element isolation section is provided between adjacent ones of the photoelectric conversion units, and a scatterer is provided in a section above the element isolation section and within the pupil dividing means. The scatterer is formed from a material of a refractive index smaller than a refractive index of a material of the pupil dividing means peripheral to the scatterer. |
