PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of suppressing a temperature rise of an LED element used in the lighting device and improving the brightness of the lighting device.SOLUTION: The lighting device 200 comprises: an LED group 250 formed by serially connecting 5 or more stages of LED circuits 254 with LED elements 252; an AC power terminal for receiving supply of AC power; a rectification circuit 230 that has an input terminal and an output terminal, rectifies an alternating current supplied to the input terminal and outputs the rectified current from the output terminal; and a capacitor 222. The capacitor 222 and the input terminal of the rectification circuit 230 are connected in series between the AC power terminals, and a charge/discharge current of the capacitor 222 runs through the LED group 250 through the rectification circuit 230 to emit light of the respective LED elements provided in the LED group 250. The capacity of the capacitor 222 is set to be 0.5 μF to 10 μF inclusive. |
